Anyone considering the purchase or research on wind energy in general should thoroughly check the manual. Wind energy can be wonderful in the right place and in many other places, it can be * combined with solar energy to obtain energy from the sun when it shines and the wind power when it is dark ( the wind often blows well at night) or when it is really cloudy / thunder (which also usually means good wind).
In this era of all-is-made-in-China It is good to see a solid product that is competitively priced as it is in fact made in the USA by Southwest Windpower Inc. of Flagstaff, Arizona. When I am close to adding a certain capacity of wind to my existing solar panel installation, this product would be a good choice as a solar panel of 60 watts will you run around the same price. Thus, you can add 60 watts of wind for about the same cost as adding 60 watts of solar energy – and with a hybrid system you get to take advantage of both alternative technologies. Think outside the barrel of oil!

BUT generator Nice as he says, you need 28 mph sustained wind at the generator for power announced. I had mine for 3 years and have yet to be run for more than a few minutes, and I live in a very airy. Buy for $ 30 anemometer and measure your area because there are not too many places in this country who get sustained winds high enough to make one of these useful. The windmill is just beginning to produce even a tiny bit of power once over 20 mph which is still a lot of wind. You also need a long and heavy electrical cable inductrial and a turn and can either make your own or buying them. Anyway, you’ll spend another several hundred dollars and a lot of time. I also solar and recommends one of these instead, unless you live in a windy area permanently.

I had one of these generators for some time. It did not work for me, so I bought six blades and put them on and it works fine now. I found that the addition of a battery at the base of the tower that works best. My main battery power is approximately 125 m from the tower and putting a battery at the base of the tower of the generator to complete the battery at the base and the battery will tranfer power other batteries. If it has batteries out of the tower, then lost in the wire when the generator reads the battery will prevent it from fully charge the battery far. Hsydrogen sells the devices 6 sets blade to add to this generator, and gives advice on how to better line up for him. They have blade kits on ebay under the wind. The tail may be constructed from information on their website.
I have not tried the hydrogen generator wind machines yet, but one day.

Wind generator bought my first one month or two ago, and found that the tree turned inside the stage before the unit would not be put into service in less than 25 mph winds, rma’d Back Amazon (it better) and thanks goes to the south-west, eight days for a response. . . . slow to say the least. . . anyway I have my replacement unit, and it does spin up easier, but the outcome is far from the rated 27 amps, I see 2-3 amps @ 30 mph winds just so close, I’ll keep this one then, just for that its nice here and it’s on the pole, but in the future, I think I will just keep increasing my PV as 5 + 7 Amp Sunforce 15watt panels at the sun ‘ winter. . . .
